Another first...

Jenna got the chance to color for the first time today. We've tried a couple of times in the past when we were at restaurants but she always ended up eating the crayons. I thought we would give it one more shot today and we have VICTORY. No eating of the crayons and loved the coloring. She was very focused and primarily used her left hand. It should be interesting to see if she remains a lefty as she grows. It was pretty cute watching her become so enthralled with it. Love that kid of mine. 

A Puppet and a Horse

Jenna and I joined the Kearls for a puppet show at the local library. There were a lot of children in a smaller space. And though it was overwhelming the kids all seemed to have a great time. With the bubble machine being the high light. 

I don't think the puppeteers had anticipated quite so many kids.

For the most part Jenna stayed close by my side. Too much stimulation with that many kids. 

After the puppet show we walked across the park to the new carousel the city just installed. Jenna was a little apprehensive but a good time nonetheless. She just loves the Kearl kids (and Heather too...and so do I).

Lorrie & Tyree's Birthday

We went to Draper this weekend to celebrate Casey's mom & cousin's birthdays. We had a yummy bbq, followed by some swimming in Grandma Lor's community pool. Jenna sure loves her Grandma and it was nice for them to be able to get some time together. 

 She had a great time swimming with Uncle Matthew, Grandma Lor, and Tyree's daughter, Bayleigh. 

Swim Lessons

Jenna and I had such a good time in our mom and tot swim lessons. We went every day for two weeks and it was incredible to watch her get more and more comfortable each day. She would not put her face into the water when we first started but by the end of the two weeks she was blowing bubbles and going underwater. Her favorite part was when we stand on the side and throw a bath toy in and the jump in to get it.

The End of an Era

I flew down for the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. My sister Sara and I have officially seen every single Harry Potter movie on opening night. I'll miss this. They haven't always to been easy to get to, this one included. By time I finally got a flight in, rented a car, drove to Mission Valley, I literally sat down to the start of the movie. Loved the movie, love my sister, love this tradition! 

We love Aunt Marnee and Aunt Kellie

Jenna was so excited to have her Aunt Marnee and Aunt Kellie visit. Lots of kisses were handed out and giggles all around.

While they were here we went to Cedar City to the Shakespeare Festival. They put on a little program every evening and Jenna had a blast. She was dancing along and totally enthralled with the singing. 

It was great to get a little time with Marn and Kellie. We don't see them nearly often enough and I was so grateful they made the effort to get down here. 

San Diego

We went to San Diego again for the Fourth of July. Unfortunately, I didn't seem to end up with any pictures. I did get a few random pictures of the trip. We did a small little celebration for Casey's birthday. It was the just his style, as small of acknowledgement as humanly possible. Happy birthday, Casey.

Jenna and I were able to have a lunch with Jen, Shiloh, and Ashtyn. Jenna and Shiloh were  cracking me up. They were sharing everything and it was so darling. 

Then we went and visited my Aunt Lisa and my cousin Nathan. It was good to get a little time with them.  I don't get to see my cousin very often and it was good to see him. He's getting so old and just yesterday he was a little boy. 

This happiness we call life...

We had a fun month! A visit from my Mom & Bob and Casey's Mom, a new pool, new sunglasses, Father's Day with the Madsen family, music classes & Tuacahn, splash pads, and Las Vegas! We have a great life and we are enjoying almost every minute of it (Please see the screaming bloody murder picture). And just for the hell of it I'm including a couple videos over  Jenna's love of song and food...yummmmmmm...
