Tick tock, tick tock

I am having my tonsils out tomorrow, so I had to hurry and get Jenna's blessing invitations completed and emailed out...what do you think?

Madsen Family Christmas

Christmas was a good time. Jenna was totally enthralled with the Christmas lights on Grandma Lor's trees. It was so fun watching her.

Christmas Eve

We decided not to head to Draper until Christmas morning so that Jenna could sleep in her own bed tonight. Our friends, the Berry's invited us along with the Frei's to their house for Christmas Eve. It was a great time. Good food, good friends, good entertainment. "Uncle" Bretty got to feed Jenna, which he was very excited about.

Malan Family Christmas 2009

We had a good time this "Christmas". Because Casey and I don't live near our families, we have to rotate holidays. We've had this system since we were married and it seems to work fairly well. It takes a lot of pressure off of us. If we do Thanksgiving with my family, we do Christmas with his. Then the following year we switch. So Christmas was with Casey's family this year, so we celebrated with my family the week before. It was very low key, which was perfect! It was a great time watching Chloe "help" unwrap presents. We had a dessert bake-off (which you all know I did NOT win). Tonight was a good night.

One of my favorite pictures...Kylie watching all the action...so darling!

Hotel del Coronado 2009

Every year we go to the Hotel del Coronado to see the tree. My family has been doing it as a tradition for a LONG time. Each Christmas the giant tree in the main lobby has a different theme. It was a little chaotic this year because we were trying to squeeze it in before Kylie's birthday party last night. It seemed like we were more focused on taking the pictures than enjoying the experience. Lesson learned, and we will do it differently from here on. Still worth it though...

We always make sure to take pictures in the giant chairs.

By the end, Kylie was done with taking pictures, the threats started and it was definitely time to leave.

Our Christmas Tree

So, in case you don't know...I LOVE my Christmas tree. I collect ornaments and I seriously have this emotional attachment to them. Here are the ornaments we got this year...

Angie got these FABULOUS booties for Jenna,

Casey got an airplane

and I got this gorgeous bird while we were in Florida.

Meeting Santa!

Jenna got to meet Santa Claus! She was great. No crying or fussing. And Santa, aka Steve Campbell, was so cute with her.

ERA Christmas Party

Casey, Jenna, and I went to ERA's Christmas party again this year. It was a great time! If you can't tell, it was country themed. Liisa and Nick brought our newest team member, Brett Berry, who calls himself "Uncle Bretty". As always, he was the life of the party. They had a movie quiz game, fill in the blank, that I totally cheated and texted my brother Scoot to get all the answers. That way "Brett" could win the game. Then we played Bingo and Brett was fabulous with all his reactions. We didn't see our daughter a whole lot that night as she was being passed around the room. She's an attention getter for sure...

"Uncle Bretty" collecting broker bucks so he could buy a prize. He is so darling!

ERA Baby Shower

My darling boss and friend Liisa and cutie pie Tamara Foster threw us a baby shower. It was such a good time despite being totally exhausted. I don't think Jenna is doing great on her formula. Anyway, everyone was so generous! And it was such a great time.

And the ladies made the MOST darling onsies for Jenna.
