Dying Easter eggs

We spent morning dying Easter eggs. It was so much fun. Totally kept running out of eggs though. Jenna hung out in her Bumbo with us. I love doing this kind of stuff with the kids. Kylie must have dyed 3 dozen eggs herself, I swear. Good day.

What is this stuff?

Sara and I decided to give Cooper and Jenna rice cereal for the first time tonight. They were so funny trying to figure out what the heck we were putting in their mouth. Jenna did much better at eating then Coop. In it would go, out it would come. So cute! Glad we did it together. Good times!

Meeting Shiloh

Scoot and Jen brought Shiloh over to Sara's house this afternoon so all the cousins could meet. Kylie Mae was especially excited. She is so cute with all her baby cousins. Just look how happy she is...

PJ Party at IHOP!

We woke up this morning starving and lazy...so, we all headed to IHOP in our pajamas. It was such a fun time. Kylie thought is was great fun! (So did Aunt Katie truth be told). Unfortunately, Chloe broke my camera while we were there, so let the hunt for a new one begin.

Cooper vs. Jenna

Jenna and I came down to San Diego. We are going to be here for a week while I am watching Kylie as her mom is in Australia. Sara and I decided to take a few pictures of Cooper and Jenna in just their diapers to show the size discrepancy. Can you believe he is only three days older than her? Man, Sara and Chris sure do grow 'em big!

Shiloh Blairene Malan

My darling brother and his wife had their little girl today! Shiloh (named from the Neil Diamond song), Blairene (a combo of Jen's grandma's name Blaire and her Dad's middle name Rene). She wore the same dress home from the hospital that Jen did 30 years ago. So cool.

Guess you're NOT 19 anymore...

I got a call late last Friday night from my sister, Sara. She did a conference call with all of my siblings and informed us that our Dad had been a serious accident. He was skiing in Mammoth with 3 other guys and on their last day there decided he would go off the ski jump they had been skiing past all week. In doing so, he hit the "kicker" wrong and was sent flying twelve feet in the air and 40 feet down the hill, landing on his kidneys. We have since learned that he burst fractured his L3, compress fractured his T12, and tore his ACL and MCL in his right knee. The Mammoth hospital wasn't equipped to assist him, so the had to drive him in an ambulance to Renown Hospital in Reno. They tried to life flight him but the fog was too thick. He is going to have to stay in Reno for a while. They did surgery on his back yesterday but he has to learn how to live again. He can't bend, twist, swivel, etc. for the next 6 months. So I decided to fly out to Reno to help relieve Holly a little bit. Happy birthday to me!

This was the first time my Dad hasn't been flat on his back in 4 days. It took us a while to get him to this position.

Standing up! Every doctor and nurse we have talked to has said they are SHOCKED that he isn't paralyzed.

Finally sitting down! It took us about 45 minutes to move from the bed to the chair.

Dad's beauty of a scar!

Tummy time

We've been working on our tummy time. Jenna's not a huge fan. But our biggest obstacle thus far, is trying to keep her fingers in her mouth at the same time. So funny trying to watch her keep her head and fingers in her mouth all at the same time! So cute.

A washer/dryer moment

Twelve years ago, when I was moving in with Casey, we were unloading my washer and dryer into his garage and we both experienced a bit of a reality check. Exhilarated, terrified, and mind-blown were just a few of the emotions that flooded each of us. Ever since then whenever we have a occasion arise that slaps reality in our face, with a little of that "holy s#@t" pit of your stomach feeling, we call it a washer/dryer moment. I had one of those moments today, ironically when I was doing laundry. Below is photographic evidence of one of those moments for me. Oh dear, I am a parent...I have a little girl...and she is so tiny...
