Disneyland - Day Two

Another GREAT day at Disneyland. I really do love this place. Jenna got a new Winnie the Pooh stuffed animal from Grandma Lor and she was in heaven.

Jenna was NOT a fan of the characters, but loved playing in Mickey and Minne's houses. Chloe was tall enough to go on the roller coaster in Toon Town. She was in love...arms in the air, screaming at the top of her lungs. It was so fun to watch! Cooper was so happy to see Buzz Lightyear on the Buzz Lightyear ride. We did hit California Adventure for a little bit today, but there weren't a whole lot of great stuff for the kids where there wasn't a crazy long line.
Jenna kept doing yoga in the middle of the lines. It was the absolutely the funniest thing to watch.

Disneyland - Day One

We had the funnest time at Disneyland today! The weather was a little cold and drizzly but not horrible. My cousin Dori, Bryce, and Jen happened to be there as well, so we caught up with them for a little dessert and a couple rides.

Jenna was a total ham. She loved dancing to the music on the rides, especially the carousal. She absolutely love Pirates of the Caribbean and Winnie the Pooh. She had a great time with her Grandma Lor and was such a dream. And honestly...does she get any better?
It was the so fantastic getting to share The Happiest Place on Earth with the Quarders! Chloe and Cooper were so much fun. My favorite thing was watching Chloe sing "I'm Wishing" from Snow White into the wishing well. It was just so tender!

Missing Maile

I am missing my niece, Maile, so much lately. I don't really get to see her. This picture of her was in her local paper the other day. Isn't she beautiful? She's an amazing Polynesian dancer. Any way, throwing some love for her out into the universe, hope she feels it. Love you more, Maile!

An afternoon at the park

The weather has been gorgeous out. That combined with day light savings has made it difficult to drag us indoors. This afternoon/evening we played in the park with the Kearls until Jenna was supposed to be in bed. Needless to say, she went down a little late. Totally worth it though! we had such a good time with them.

HAIR!

One of the most frequent comments I get is about how bald Jenna is. For the record, she does have a little hair. What she does have is curly. However, the only time it isn't flattened against her head is right after bath time. So I thought I would post some proof. Btw, her new favorite toy? A toothbrush. Dr. Crowton, DDS would be so proud.

Uncle Brett the Injin

We went to watch "Uncle" Bretty Berry perform in the Special Needs Mutual play last night. He was so fantastic. We went to lunch with him earlier in the day and he was starting to get a bit nervous, but he performed marvelously! We went last year as well you can see it here. This year they did Peter Pan and Brett was a Indian. I got a little video of it. I'm discovering that my new iPhone isn't perfect after all. The pictures and video aren't fabulous. But I think you'll enjoy it nonetheless. Brett had quite the fan club there. I think there was probably 20-30 of us. How do you not love someone as genuine and loving as he is.

Jenna was just as entertaining at the play. She danced and clapped and sang along. I felt like my head was on a swivel Jenna-Brett-Jenna-Brett-Jenna. It was a great night.

I really am trying

Jenna is wanting so badly to become more independent. I am trying to let her spread her wings a little. I bought toddler silverware to use and everything. Today I decided to try and let her feed herself yogurt. It's a battle we have been having for sometime. {Not just with yogurt, but applesauce, cottage cheese, etc. All things spoon related} This is what we ended up with. Notice the yogurt on the chair...it really did end up everywhere.
and the inevitable battle for the camera.
After we got her all cleaned up, Uncle Matt came over for a little visit.

Our girly girl

Jenna is a girly girl. Let's face it. It's an on-going battle to keep her out of my jewelry. Today we went over to Kim's to make a bunch of hair bows. Kim is moving at the end of the month {insert me sobbing here} and so we had to stock up from my crack bow provider before she leaves. Jenna kept putting bow after bow on. So Kim snapped this shot of her. Isn't she just the cutest. I said to Casey, just accept it, Jenna's is a girly girl. He said, yah, but you aren't doing anything to prevent it. It's not like you are exchanging the bracelet for a basketball or anything. Guilty as charged...
