Wordless Wednesday...Twirling

Play Group

The girls: Morgan Dewey, Heather Kearl, and me {Ryan Talbot not shown - taking the picture} We have been getting together every Wednesday for a play date for the kids. This week it was raining out, so instead of the park we headed to the indoor play area at Fiesta Fun. The kids had a blast, I had a hard time not thinking about the vast number of germs that had to have been on everything. So I focused on taking pictures of the little cuties.

Easter Egg Hunt

SkyWest had their Easter Egg hunt this morning at headquarters so we headed over for Jenna's very first egg hunt. It was kind of fun watching her try to figure this whole thing out. She went from very reserved to going after it. She's just the cutest these days.

At first, Dad kept having to remind her to keeping looking for eggs and candy.

She finally got the hang of it and it was on!

Keeping her eyes peeled for more eggs.

Checking out the goodies!

And here's the quintessential family picture with Jenna mad because we won't let her have more chocolate. Happy Easter everyone.

Ode to Angie; And We Have A Major Victory

Angie, aka Etch, is my very bestest friend. We met in 1999 when we were both working on the ticket counter for Delta Airlines, and have been friends every since.  She is such a calming force in my world.  And I am grateful for every second I get with her, which aren't very many. She lives in Northern Utah while I flit all over the country. She and her friend, Jennie, came down this weekend for a little fun in the sun. It was a great time. We did a little time at Snow Canyon Park, a little time at the pool, and some shopping. {BTW, Jennie is fabulous and it was so fun to get to know her}

As a side by, we have been working with Jenna for a while on going poo, poo in the potty. It's a big problem. She's been pee trained for a while, but she has this total mental block when it comes to number two. She asks for a diaper and freaks out if we don't get one on her fast enough. Well, while we were at the pool I forgot to bring a diaper with me and so she was stuck. It was kind of sad to watch her pace and cry and be at a total loss as to what to do without one. But in the end, we were victorious, and we had our very first "poo poo on the potty!"  {sung in our poo poo tune} She was so excited and I hope this means we can turn that corner. I'm kind of over the diapers. Way to go, Jenna!

March Photo-A-Day

I have started a little project. It's similar to Project 365 where in you take one picture a day of what is going on in your life. The concept of that was a little to vague for me. I needed a little more direction. Enter the photo a day challenge by blogger Chantelle at Fat Mum Slim. It was just what I needed. Along with posting them on Instagram and Facebook, I decided I should share them here as well. I missed a few days here and there, those days were usually the most chaotic. So without further adieu...I give you, #marchphotoaday ...

I love the tippy toe reaching my niece is doing so that her circle chalk drawing is just right.
This is as close to fruit as I get on a road trip! Had an amazing week in San Diego, but I'm so excited for my own bed.

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood...

The very best smile I've ever seen! Love that kid of mine.

Due to the great love and generosity of my family, I'm spending the evening organizing hand me downs!

For the most part, the weather this week has been fabulous. This is day three at the park this week.

Don't you hate when you end up with the loudest swing on the set?!

My daily phone call with my sister, Sara. (if we're being completely honest, it usually more than once a day!)

One of my FAVORITE restaurants. I think I eat at Cravings 5 days a week. And if you know me, and my total hate for cooking, you know this is not an exaggeration.

Too close for comfort, but a win is a win.

There are so many things I love about this place. But one has to be the black lava contrasting with the red rock contrasting with the green mountain. I think it's beautiful. PS. I believe the mountain in the background is where Casey went on his walk about and nearly died.

The first car I saw today happened to be an animated one. Shocker.

We spent the day on yard work!

I know it's not really a corner, but today I got the linen closet organized, 3 more boxes unpacked, 2 loads of laundry done, hung up the rest of Jenna's new clothes, and went to movie!

 So funny...and so true!

Forgot to post this yesterday... Making a little progress on Jenna's playroom.

Costco lunch with my favorite little girl. Thank goodness she's behaving better than she did yesterday!

We're all lucky we have family in town, or what you would have seen are two full sinks overflowing onto the counter... #relieved

There is no moon out tonight. And though I considered taking a picture of my ass, I went with #newmoon. Ironically, my least favorite book and movie in the series.

We have a house full of animals. Though, Chipper (Aka Buddy Boy, Handsome) is not doing well at all. Sadness.

The one meal I actually cook is breakfast. And I make a hot breakfast almost every morning. It's the sugar. Absolutely, the sugar.

It is my educated opinion, that the KEY to happiness is a new pair of shoes. Today, Jenna is feeling the same way.

Two of my most treasures possessions; my back pack from preschool and a book given to me by my Grandma Malan.

My new ironing board cover arrived! Can't wait to throw the old one away!!!

Don't you love when it's warm enough to wear flip flops?!

With my "toy", I was able to get three mirrors hung today.
