As cute Jenna's noises are, I simply CANNOT sleep with her in our bedroom any longer. So last night we moved her to her crib in her room for the first time. THANK GOODNESS. I was actually able to get a little sleep!
Thanksgiving was a great time. It was our first time meeting Cooper and getting to hold him. It was amazing how much bigger he is from Jenna and he was born almost three weeks early! But the best was finally getting to introduce my family to our sweet baby girl...
and then lots of eating and hanging out...
...by the way, can you tell we are related?
The cats were very intrigued by Jenna when we got home. Even with as sweet as she is sleeping the were not all that interested in being anywhere near her once she started making noise. So they would search high and low to find anywhere they thought they could escape to. Even though we've only had a couple days at home, we are headed to San Diego for Thanksgiving. I'm excited for my family to get to meet our little one.
Before we headed home, we spent one more night up north with the Dallimores. It was so fun watching PK interact with Jenna. SO darling! And Joe and Wendy have been such a great support throughout this adoption. It was nice to share the end result with them like they did with us in China.
Thank goodness for Angie. Jenna was due for a little bath but I was very overwhelmed at the prospect of doing that by myself. So Jenna and I headed to the Gove's house so Angie could help me out. Plus, Maddi and Ethan got a little time with her. They were soooo cute!
I took a tiny little break from parenthood and went to the midnight premier of New Moon (go Team Edward) with Angie Gove and her family. Tradition is tradition, right? It was a great time but I was so excited to get back to Jenna.
We drove straight from the hospital to Casey's mother's home where we are going to spend the next few days. Upon our arrival we attempted our first photo shoot. It didn't go great. Lorrie had a bit of a rough time getting the camera close enough to see us, but not so close it cut off heads. And Jenna grew tired of the camera pretty quickly...but I am training her early!
