We love Aunt Marnee and Aunt Kellie

Jenna was so excited to have her Aunt Marnee and Aunt Kellie visit. Lots of kisses were handed out and giggles all around.
While they were here we went to Cedar City to the Shakespeare Festival. They put on a little program every evening and Jenna had a blast. She was dancing along and totally enthralled with the singing.

It was great to get a little time with Marn and Kellie. We don't see them nearly often enough and I was so grateful they made the effort to get down here.

San Diego

We went to San Diego again for the Fourth of July. Unfortunately, I didn't seem to end up with any pictures. I did get a few random pictures of the trip. We did a small little celebration for Casey's birthday. It was the just his style, as small of acknowledgement as humanly possible. Happy birthday, Casey.

Jenna and I were able to have a lunch with Jen, Shiloh, and Ashtyn. Jenna and Shiloh were  cracking me up. They were sharing everything and it was so darling.

Then we went and visited my Aunt Lisa and my cousin Nathan. It was good to get a little time with them.  I don't get to see my cousin very often and it was good to see him. He's getting so old and just yesterday he was a little boy.

This happiness we call life...

We had a fun month! A visit from my Mom & Bob and Casey's Mom, a new pool, new sunglasses, Father's Day with the Madsen family, music classes & Tuacahn, splash pads, and Las Vegas! We have a great life and we are enjoying almost every minute of it (Please see the screaming bloody murder picture). And just for the hell of it I'm including a couple videos over  Jenna's love of song and food...yummmmmmm...

Las Vegas

Casey had a HR conference in Las Vegas this week so Jenna I drove down with him and got a little fun in the sun and did a little thrift store shopping for The Jenna Rose Collection. We rode the tram over to the Bellagio, had dinner, and watched the water show. She was so into it and clapped so hard that everyone else around us started cheering and clapping along with her. She was quite the little cheerleader.

A Day of Music

Jenna and I took a 6 week mom and tot weekly music class and today was our last day. For a special treat the teacher brought a little parachute in to play with while we were singing. Jenna loved it. And why wouldn't she? That was always the greatest treat ever when a parachute got involved! She had a good time taking this class though it took her almost the full 6 weeks to come out of her shell. The separation anxiety/shyness has kicked in with full force over the last few months which has been a huge adjustment for me. Not only do I not relate to being shy, I also have lost any amount of personal space I once had. The class taught a lot of new songs which was a blessing and a curse. I felt like it made it difficult to really engage with her on the songs but on the flip side, we were singing the same old nursery rhymes you have heard a thousand times!

That night Casey's Aunt Val took her granddaughter B and me to see the Little Mermaid at Tuacahn. We had the best time and they put on an amazing show. All the characters were wearing roller blades so they floated across the stage and they had rigged a pipe that ran across the top and create a waterfall when they were supposed to be underwater. The actress who played Ursula was absolutely amazing and blew me out of the water (pun intended). It was a really wonderful night.

Father's Day

The Madsens/Caziers were all in town for Father's Day and so we got the chance to host a BBQ at our house. Casey was in his element. Though I do love to throw a fun party, he is so much better at being the hostess with the mostess. Jenna and *B* as always had a great time together. Jenna just adores her cousin. It was the perfect get together and went off without a hitch.

Cousins

My cousin Ashley was in town with her kids for the week, so Jenna and I got some great quality time with them swimming at my Aunt & Uncle's community pool. Her kids are so great to be around; funny and happy and not the least bit contentious. Such a joy. Jenna is getting less and less intimidated by the water and I couldn't be more grateful. We are working on her back float and everything seems a little bit better when song is involved. So we float on our back and sing, "I'm a little pancake on my back. I'm a little pancake short and flat. I'm a little pancake on my back. Flip me over just like that." sung to the tune of Tea Pot. She still freaks out a little but it feels like she got a little better each day.

Jenna and Grandma Lor had a dance off this afternoon. It was fantastic!

New Pool

Grandma Lor bought Jenna a new blow up pool for the backyard. I don't know who was more excited Jenna or Trigger! Jenna was a little skeptical at first; the slide was overwhelming and the water squirting out intimidating. But once she got the hang of it, she was on a roll.
