Jenna and I took a 6 week mom and tot weekly music class and today was our last day. For a special treat the teacher brought a little parachute in to play with while we were singing. Jenna loved it. And why wouldn't she? That was always the greatest treat ever when a parachute got involved! She had a good time taking this class though it took her almost the full 6 weeks to come out of her shell. The separation anxiety/shyness has kicked in with full force over the last few months which has been a huge adjustment for me. Not only do I not relate to being shy, I also have lost any amount of personal space I once had. The class taught a lot of new songs which was a blessing and a curse. I felt like it made it difficult to really engage with her on the songs but on the flip side, we were singing the same old nursery rhymes you have heard a thousand times!
That night Casey's Aunt Val took her granddaughter B and me to see the Little Mermaid at Tuacahn. We had the best time and they put on an amazing show. All the characters were wearing roller blades so they floated across the stage and they had rigged a pipe that ran across the top and create a waterfall when they were supposed to be underwater. The actress who played Ursula was absolutely amazing and blew me out of the water (pun intended). It was a really wonderful night.
