Ford IronMan in St. George

The IronMan came to St. George this year, and Stuart, Liisa and I volunteered. We were placed at the turn around on the marathon course. We mostly cheered people on. Casey brought Jenna up for a little portion of our time up there. It was a good time, but we nearly froze to death! We had the afternoon session and the wind was blowing so strongly. Liisa was the best cheerleader of us all...

The Prince and the Pea

I came home from work yesterday to find Chipper sitting on top of the stack of new chair cushions I had just bought. It looked so funny, I had to grab a picture!

Then today when I came into the room I found Shadow sitting on Jenna's playmat with Jenna right there next to her. Guess they must be getting a little used to her, huh?

So many toys...

When we got home last night, I put Jenna in her Baby Einstein excersaucer for the first time. She was so funny discovering everything. Her favorites seem to be chewing on the ribbon and rays of the sunshine.

Ogden/Draper

We spent the weekend in Ogden helping my brother in law move to St George. It was a quick weekend and we got a lot done. But mostly I took pictures of Jenna...eating at Karen's Cafe (one of our favorites and we rarely miss a trip up there where we don't grab a breakfast), chewing on her foot (notice how shiny with slobber it is), making silly faces at the hotel, and playing with Grandma Lor. Her cutest is very distracting.

Casey, Jenna, and I had dinner over at Nick and Liisa's tonight. While we were there I was helping Liisa sew hair clips to the blond extensions her daughter had purchased to wear to her upcoming school dance. We thought it would be funny to see what Jenna looked like with hair, and wallah...it was hilarious!

Update on my Dad

So my dad has been making some good progress. His appetite is really funny because of all the drugs they have him on so he is loosing a lot of weight. But he is working hard, so that's a good thing. They did discover some spinal cord damage that can be healed but instead of getting to go home, he had to stay and transfer to a rehab facility. His right knee is still causing him a lot of pain but they don't want to do the surgery on it until he gets home and is healed a little more from the back surgery. Below are a few pictures that documents some of his progress.

This is Dad's back surgeon, Dr. Olson, who we all called Dr. Incredible because he looks just like Mr. Incredible!

Dad started slow with the parallel bars. He was able to walk down, turn around and walk back again.

Slowly he was able to make it to walking with a walker. Can you see how much weight he has lost?

This was after they moved him to the rehab facility. Look how much better he is getting?

The staples are out of his back! Yeah!

Got to take a wheelchair ride outside. It had been a while since he had been outside.

They started on the real therapy. Starting with how to use the stairs.

Getting in out of cars with out bending or twisting.

And then worked on strengthening with balloon volleyball.

and weight training.

Thanks so much for all the thoughts an prayers. He's getting better everyday and should be able to come home soon! And a special thank you to my Aunt Janice who gave up her Easter and went out to Reno. You were a huge help and great blessing!!!!

Jenna rolls! (And we missed it)

Miss Jenna rolled over this morning!!! Happy Easter to us...after I got her out of bed and brought her down stairs, I laid her down on her back while I went to make her bottle. When I came back in she was on her tummy. Little stinker, couldn't wait until I got back? Gratefully, a little while later she did it again. Sorry the quality is not so great. I had to use my phone because we still haven't replaced the broken camera...
